چکیده

Abstract In 2019 July, the IceCube experiment detected a high-energy neutrino from direction of powerful blazar PKS 1502+106. We perform multiwavelength and multimessenger modeling this source, using fully selfconsistent one-zone model that includes contribution external radiation fields typical flat-spectrum radio quasars. identify three different activity states blazar: one quiescent state two flaring with hard soft gamma-ray spectra. find hadronic models can describe emission during all states: leptohadronic photohadronic processes to X-rays gamma-rays, proton synchrotron model, where keV 10 GeV comes radiation. Both predict substantial flux is correlated X-ray fluxes. Our results are compatible detection state, based on event rate statistics. conclude spectra observed bright flares strongly suggest contribution, which be interpreted as additional evidence for cosmic-ray acceleration in source independently observations. more arguments made favor vis-a-vis scenario, such lower energetic demand state. However, same would disfavored 1502+106 if no events were found before 2010, require an archival search.

Tracking the curved jet in PKS 1502 + 106

Abstract. We carried out a multifrequency and multiepoch study of the highly polarized quasar, PKS 1502+106 at radio frequencies. The analysis is based on an EVN dataset at 5 GHz, archive VLBA datasets at 2.3, 8.3, 24.4 and 43.1 GHz and an archive MERLIN dataset at 5 GHz. The various datasets span over a period of 10 years. The source is characterized by a multi– component one–sided jet at all ...

PKS 1502+106: A new and distant gamma-ray blazar in outburst discovered by the Fermi large area telescope

The Large Area Telescope (LAT) on board the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope discovered a rapid (∼5 days duration), high-energy (E > 100 MeV) gamma-ray outburst from a source identified with the blazar PKS 1502+106 (OR 103, S3 1502+10, z = 1.839) starting on 2008 August 5 (∼23 UTC, MJD 54683.95), and followed by bright and variable flux over the next few months. Results on the gamma-ray localiza...

Abstract. In this paper we present a multifrequency and multiepoch study of PKS 1502+106 at radio frequencies. The analysis is based on an EVN (European VLBI Network) dataset at 5 GHz and archive VLBA (Very Long Baseline Array) datasets at 2.3, 8.3, 24.4 and 43.1 GHz over a period of 8 years. The source is characterized by a multi–component one–sided jet at all epochs. The high–resolution image...

Broad - band continuum and line emission of the γ - ray blazar PKS 0537 – 441

PKS 0537–441, a bright γ-ray emitting blazar, was observed at radio, optical, UV and X-ray frequencies during various EGRET pointings, often quasi-simultaneously. In 1995 the object was found in an intense emission state at all wavelengths. BeppoSAX observations made in 1998, non-simultaneously with exposures at other frequencies, allow us to characterize precisely the spectral shape of the hig...

Cyclotron Maser Emission from Blazar Jets?

We consider the production of electron cyclotron maser emission by lowdensity, highly magnetized plasmas in relativistic jets. The population inversion required to drive cyclotron maser instability could occur in localized, transient sites where hydromagnetic instabilities, shocks, and/or turbulence lead to magnetic mirroring along current-carrying flux tubes. The maser is pumped by the convers...
